Portugal

Off again. We start with a week in Portugal- Lisbon and vicinity. We will stay in Lisbon and commute to nearby sites. In preparation, we have read a "Short Concise History of Portugal", and truthfully, the Portugese are not historically attractive. It seems only the travels of Prince Henry the Navigator and Vasco da Gama are inspiring. The Church, the Royals and the landed gentry, not so much. I will try to keep an open mind.
